Time Trial –Race 3 Craughwell - Oranmore

This TT is a one direction only. Starting just outside Craughwell to the water tower just before the roundabout on the approach to Oranmore

Parking : We will meet at Craughwell community centre car park (on your right after you cross the railway tracks at the entry to the village), for registration at 6:30 so there will be parking there. There is no parking at the Finish line except for volunteers who should bring their Cars to the start point before registration closes. If people would like to park in Oranmore and cycle out to Craughwell as a warm up, please ensure to leave enough time to make the 15k journey out to craughwell so we can get started in time

Registration: 6:30 – 6:45

Volunteers : Each volunteer should bring a stopwatch, a mobile phone and if they have access to a car they should bring that as well.

Rules:

1) First and foremost Stay Safe – Simple as that, and yes it is a rule. Anyone displaying a flagrant disregard for either their own safety or that of any other road users will be immediately removed from the series. The roads are open so take care

2) No Drafting at any point, this includes if you are being overtaken, make no attempt to try and ‘Hang On’ to the cyclist overtaking you. Anyone reported for drafting will receive the same time as the slowest rider on the night.

3) If you are overtaking someone, You as the stronger and faster cyclist, are responsible for executing that manoeuvre in a safe and responsible manner. You should inform the cyclist you are approaching that you will be overtaking them, and then proceed when it is safe to do so.

4) Commissars’ decision is final on all matters.

Safety Notes:

When you have passed the finish line, continue on and vacate the area immediately, and return to the start point where we will give out the results as soon as the TT is complete.
