On the second night of the TT series the sun came out to play... and so did the stars. In the mens section newcomers to the series, FBD Ras veteran Eoghan Considine (12:04), Aidan Hanley(13:38) and John Flannery (13:48) came, saw, and left all in their wakes as the series hotted up, quiet literally.
Tawin Island was bathed in beautiful summer sunshine last evening, nonetheless there was a solid costal headwind on the outward sector of the course, providing a 'stiff' test for all over the first 4K. Then the nerves and the bike handling skills were tested on the speedy return leg of the tight twisting causway course.
In the Ladies section Kristen Raill struck back with a furious vengence as she demolished alcomers with a 15:05 to wrap up the win. Miriam Wall, just 2 days after a super second place in Salthill, had to be content with third tonight as newcomer to the series Doirs Laepple split the title contendors. Both Mir and Kris have one win each now in the series and theres every chance that this one will go to the wire. Kieran Whyte still tops the series table on the mens side by virtue of more races completed but the shape of things is about to change as we go back westside and Moycullen - Spiddle next week. All results and current standings attached.
